The Trenton Campaign was a military conflict between the Monroe Militia and an another faction in Trenton, New Jersey five years after the Blackout . It was one of several expansion attempts by the Monroe Republic , with a battle in Trenton itself being the climax of the conflict.
Miles Matheson and Sebastian Monroe personally led their troops during the fighting, until Miles was wounded. Monroe still refused to leave his side, however. This was notable as being one of the last battles that the Militia fought with modern weapons like M9 pistols and M4 carbines before they had to start rationing modern ammunition. General Matheson recovered from his injuries and later awarded Joseph Wheatley with a medal for his actions during the campaign.
